WHO DO WE SPONSOR?
- Green Gaels Lacrosse
- In addition to supporting the Green Gaels with our discounted group rates on currency exchange in our branch, we also offer them our support on the field with our sponsorship. Green Gaels Lacrosse has been a staple in the Oshawa community for many years, and we couldn’t be prouder to support their example of hard work, leadership, and teamwork.
- St. Thomas Soccer Club
- For three years, we have sponsored a men’s indoor soccer team at the London – St Thomas Soccer Club. The team plays at BMO field and we couldn’t be happier to have our name on their jackets!
- Special Olympics Ontario
- The Special Olympics celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. Continental is proud to have sponsored Special Olympics Ontario and be a part of the movement devoted to the respect, inclusion, acceptance, and celebration of people with disabilities.
- The Law Enforcement Torch Run
- The LETR is a fundraiser that aims to raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics. The “Flame of Hope” is carried run into the opening ceremony of the games.
- P.R.O. Bear Campaign
- We’ve pledged support to the Police Retirees of Ontario (PRO) bear campaign. This campaign ensures that children going through traumatic experiences (like serious car accidents or fires) receive a teddy bear to comfort them.
- Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation
- This year, we sponsored the women’s only Who’s Your Caddy Golf Tournament which raised funds for a new ECG machine for the Cardiac Diagnostics unit at Ajax Pickering Hospital. ECG machines are the most commonly-used test tools for cardiac screenings.
- Gowns for Girls
- Every year, Gowns for Girls accepts dress, shoes, accessory donations and community sponsorships to make prom and graduation more affordable to Durham Region girls. We’re proud to sponsor Gowns for Girls and help girls in our community go to prom.
- Hamilton Police Female Choir
- The Hamilton Police Female Choir is the only all-female police choir in Canada! The choir often perform at several community engagements. Composed of civilians and sworn members, retirees and active members, the Hamilton Police Female Choir is a staple in the community! They raise funds for various charities and functions.
